Leadership
SBARCM is an entity of the State of Alabama, with location and general oversight provided by Alabama A&M University (AAMU). Collection development, exhibits, and general management fall under the guidance of Veronica Henderson and Heather M. Adkins.

Veronica Henderson
Mrs. Henderson holds a Master's in Library and Information Science and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public History. She has worked for AAMU since 2012 and became the Director of SBARCM and AAMU LRC in 2023.

Heather Adkins
Ms. Adkins is a Certified Archivist and holds a Master's in Public History for Archives Management. She has worked in various archives since 2011, including academic, government, non-profit, religious, and public library special collections.
